What cookies are and how they are used
Cookies are small text files sent by a server to a web client when the latter accesses a page of a website. They are used, in general, to remember preferences, data and information to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later (persistent cookies).
Cookies make it easier to navigate the site, allow the storage of visited pages and other specific information, such as frequently consulted pages, connection errors, etc..
Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Often browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc.) are set to automatically accept cookies. Some of the purposes for which cookies are installed may also require the User’s consent. Users may, however, modify the default configuration, choosing to disable or delete cookies. However, this may prevent the optimal use of some areas of the site.
During navigation, moreover, the User may also receive cookies from different websites (so-called “third party” cookies), set directly by the managers of said websites and used for the purposes and according to the methods defined by them.
Types of cookies
Cookies, according to their characteristics and use, are distinguished in:

functionality cookies: allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language).
collect information in an anonymous form about how users use the website, for example which pages they visit most often and any error messages they receive during their visit. These cookies do not collect visitor identifying information.
These are designed to create profiles of the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same as part of the navigation on the network.
This site does not use profiling cookies.
Third party cookies
